Helping to give vulnerable children a future

Youth Music Project

Youth Music Project

Every child deserves to experience the joy of music. Music is a fundamental part of human nature and society. Unfortunately, not every child has access to music facilities.

Street Orphans Youth Music Project works with children and young people from the ages of 5 to 21 who are at risk of dropping out of school, being involved in gang violence, drug abuse and crime. Through our music project we develop talent, allow underprivileged children room to grow personally, while teaching a strong social message.

Together we CAN make a difference and bring the joy of music to street children across the UK and Europe.

Our music project has courses in:

Music:

Comprehensive lessons in instruments such as the guitar, piano and recorder, as well pungi and dhol. The course emphasises a deeper understanding of musical concepts.

Composing & Production

The course covers all phases of recording and post-production, using industry standard systems.

Afterschool Program

Our after school program offers one hour of homework help and two hours of clubs, engaging street children in various subjects. This ensures that street children are able to succeed academically and be valuable contributors to society.

Performance Competition

After completing our 21-week course, students are able to showcase their talents in music, dance, and visual arts. Celebrity judges will select the winners in each category.

Events

Our events allow children and young people to perform in one of five categories: musical instruments, vocal, dance, poetry and visual arts. Celebrity judges will select the winners in each category. This allows the children to perform in front of an audience, gain valuable skills that they can transfer to other parts of life. Plus it gives them a confidence boost to allow them to thrive even further.

Music changes lives and your donations will ensure that many more street children have the opportunity to enjoy music. Donate generously today.
